Consumers might receive collection letters or lawsuits from CACH, LLC, Fresh View Funding, First Step Group, or might hear about the company Square Two Financial. Who are these companies, what do they do, and how are they related?
These are all companies owned or associated with SquareTwo Financial. SquareTwo Financial identifies itself as a company in the business of “acquisition, management and collection of charged-off consumer and commercial accounts receivable that we purchase from financial institutions, finance and leasing companies.” In short, though, it is a debt buyer and debt collector. SquareTwo Financial operates a number of subsidiaries who purchase and collect debts.

CACH, LLC is one of its main subsidiaries. It purchases charged-off consumer debt in order to collect on it. It is usually considered a debt collector. It is also considered a debt buyer. In some cases, CACH, LLC goes by the name Fresh View Funding. CACH, LLC typically hires attorney debt collectors and other debt collectors to handle its collection activity like sending dunning letters and filing collection lawsuits in court. CACH, LLC does not appear to maintain a website.
CACV of Colorado, LLC, like CACH, LLC, is another subsidiary that is a debt buyer and debt collector, often filing collection lawsuits.
Fresh View Solutions is another subsidiary. It is a third-party debt collector who collects on behalf of CACH, LLC and Fresh View Funding.
